Chip in the Pampa

Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
27-31 August, 2018

SBCCI is an international forum dedicated to integrated circuits and systems design, test and electronic design automation (EDA), held annually in Brazil. The 31st SBCCI will take place in Bento Gonçalves, capital of Brazilian Wine, Rio Grande do Sul State. The goal of the symposium is to bring together researchers in the areas of EDA, design and test of integrated circuits and systems. The scope of the symposium includes technical sessions, tutorials and panels, as well as an exhibition and working group meetings. The best papers presented at the symposium will be invited to resubmit an extended version to be considered for publication at the IEEE Design & Test and at the Springer Nature ALOG (Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing) NEW, for the year!

SBCCI strongly encourages international submissions. Prospective authors from around the world are invited to submit manuscripts in English for consideration by the Program Committee. Manuscripts must contain a maximum of 6 pages, two-column, following the IEEE guidelines and be prepared for double-blind review. Submissions of manuscripts previously published by other conferences or journals will not be considered by the program committee. SBCCI submissions must be made electronically (in PDF format) via the conference website. For proposals on special sessions, tutorials, panels and tool demos, please email a short description to the program chairs directly in advance of the submission deadline. Authors should include the complete address, phone/fax numbers and email address, and designate a contact person and a presenter. The proceedings will be published by the IEEE Press and will remain available at the ACM Digital Library and IEEE Xplore.

The 5 technical tracks including its chairs for this symposium are:

  1. Analog and RF
  2. Digital Circuits, Mixed Signal and Applications
  3. EDA/CAD, Test and Reliability
  4. SoC, NoC and Reconfigurable
  5. Embedded Software and Systems

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • System level modeling and synthesis
  • Hardware-software co-design and co-verification

Location:

Bento Gonçalves is a nice city located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, just 115 km from Porto Alegre. It is one of the centers of the Italian immigration in Brazil. It is one of the most beautiful and important tourist routes of Rio Grande do Sul’s mountain region known as Serra Gaúcha. Industrial and tourist vocation, landscapes “broidered with grapevines” and the spirit of its people make the town a welcoming place with exuberant nature. Elected by the Ministry of Tourism as one of the Brazil’s 65 tourism-inducing hubs. It is known as the ‘wine capital of Brazil’ due to its vineyards and wine production. The Vineyards Valley is the first and most important enotourism destination in Brazil, allowing visitors to behold the vineyard landscape, beautiful in all four seasons. Come to visit excellent winemaking structures, enjoy the culture of Italian immigrants, taste its distinguished food and, if you wish, stay among unique scenery, smelling the scent of grapes and watching its winter brumes.  Visitors can experience a combination of a privileged nature with an excellent infrastructure, sophisticated tourist equipment, good reception, and services.

It is an easy journey to Bento Gonçalves, by using the Salgado Filho Airport at Porto Alegre, that has direct flights from Lisbon, Panama City, Lima, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and many other Brazilian cities.  Porto Alegre is also just a 1.5 hour

flight from the main Brazilian hubs, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well Buenos Aires.
