Aimed at discovering common principles that govern network structures, network functionalities and behaviors of networks, TNSE seeks articles on understanding, prediction, and control of structures and behaviors of networks, and aims to be the premier source of peer-reviewed articles on the theory and applications of network science and the interconnections among the elements in a system that form a network.

The nominee must be a member in good standing of CASS or ComSoc. He/she must have extensive IEEE editorial experience. Desirable qualities include excellence in technical accomplishments, leadership, integrity and ethical standards, organizational and management skills, and a strong vision and set of ideas for moving the journal forward. Applicants will be considered for this position without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, or political affiliation.

The Editor-in-Chief will report to the Steering Committee. He/She will serve on, and be a voting member of, the CASS Editorial Board and the ComSoc Journals Board, and will be expected to organize/lead bi-annual Editorial Board meetings. He/She will also be invited to participate in the ComSoc Journals Board meetings during the ComSoc Publications Council meetings at ICC and GLOBECOM (the ComSoc flagship conferences) and to attend the annual CASS Editorial Board meetings taking place during ISCAS (the CASS flagship conference).
