Special Issue on Programmable Metamaterials for Software-Defined Electromagnetic Control

JETCAS Volume  10, Issue 1, Mar 2020

Dear IEEE JETCAS Readers,

The IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems (JETCAS) proudly published its March 2020 Issue to present a comprehensive perspective on the state of research in the field of programmable metamaterials. This issue begins with an overview paper by the guest editors that provides a tutorial on programmable metamaterials and surveys research lines from the metamaterial architecture, circuits, and technology standpoints. It is complemented by a total of 11 high-quality, novel contributions, touching upon (1) experimental prototypes with various functionalities, (2) cross-cutting issues of programmable metasurface design, and (3) the modeling of metamaterials. We hope you enjoy the contents of this special issue!
