TAFE Call for Editor-in-Chief Nominations (2026-2028)

The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) invites nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of each of the IEEE Transactions on AgriFood Electronics (TAFE).

The IEEE Transactions on AgriFood Electronics (TAFE) is published under the co-sponsorship of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), IEEE Sensors Council (SC), IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society (IMS), and IEEE RFID Council (CRFID)

We are currently seeking nominations and applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the IEEE Transactions on AgriFood Electronics (TAFE) for the publications years 2026-2028.

Nominees:

Applicants must have strong, relevant experience in roles such as author, reviewer, and associate editor for TAFE and/or other related journals, and/or a technical program chair or similar roles in high-quality, peer-reviewed conferences. To attract high-quality articles to the transactions, the EiC must also be a well-recognized leader in his/her areas of expertise. Key qualities of the EiC are an outstanding understanding of the needs of the research community at academic as well as industrial and government laboratories, awareness of changing emphases in research areas and development of emerging fields, plus the administrative skills to manage the editorial cycle in a timely fashion. The EiC must also be able to attract respected experts to his/her Editorial Board. The EiC must have good interpersonal skills to maintain good rapport with authors, editors, reviewers, and the IEEE staff.

Applications or nominations must include:

  • An application/nomination letter

  • A complete curriculum vitae (CV)

  • A personal statement summarizing their vision and plans for TAFE

  • A letter from their employer indicating support for the EiC activity

  • The target start date for the new EiC is anticipated to be 1 January 2026 and ends 31 December 2028.

The IEEE Transactions on AgriFood Electronics (TAFE) is the cutting-edge research publication covering circuits and systems, integrating the needed sensors, actuators, and interfaces, applied to the AgriFood chain of value, including technologies for food related to its production, processing, quality control along the distribution chain, and preservation, which require various integrated sensing systems, actuators, manufacturing, and diverse integration levels such as Printed-Circuit Board (PCB), System in Board (SiB), System on Chip (SoC), System in package (SIP), and packaging techniques.
