Chapter-of-the-Year and Student Branch Chapter-of-the-Year Awards Subcommittee oversees the evaluation and selection process for the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Chapter-of-the-Year Award, the IEEE Circuits and Systems Regional Chapter-of-the-Year Awards: Regions 1-7, Region 8, Region 9, and Region 10, the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Student Branch Chapter-of-the-Year Award, and the IEEE Circuits and Systems Regional Student Branch Chapter-of-the-Year Awards: Regions 1-7, Region 8, Region 9, and Region 10.

The Chapter of the Year Awards recognizes the Chapter with the very best yearly activities. The award is based on best yearly activities in the categories of Chapter sponsored technical activities and increase in membership. The winning chapters and student branch chapters must be IEEE CAS Society Chapters (joint chapters are eligible), or Student Branch Chapters (for the student chapter awards).
