Andreas Demosthenous is a Professor in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University College London, where he leads the Bioelectronics Group. He has authored over 400 articles in journals and international conference proceedings, multiple book chapters, and holds several patents. His research interests include analog and mixed signal integrated circuits for biomedical, sensor, and signal processing applications. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering Sciences (EAMBES), and the International Academy of Artificial Intelligence Sciences (AAIS), as well as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). He has received several best paper awards and has supervised and graduated many Ph.D. students.

His editorial roles include Associate Editor and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs(2006–2007 and 2014–2015, respectively); Associate Editor and Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers (2008–2009 and 2016–2019, respectively); and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (2013–2023), where he is currently on the Steering Committee. He has served on the Technical Programme Committees of numerous IEEE conferences. He was Chair of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Fellows Evaluation Committee from 2022 to 2023, and has contributed to many other CASS committees. He was General Co-Chair of ISCAS 2025 and is currently Chair of the IEEE United Kingdom and Ireland Section Circuits and Systems Chapter, as well as Vice Chair (Chair-Elect) of the IEEE United Kingdom and Ireland Section.
