Anthony Trioux (Senior Member, IEEE) received the PhD degree in electronics and communication engineering from the Univ. Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF, UMR CNRS 8520), France, in 2019. He was an Assistant Professor at Centrale Lille from 2019 to 2020 and an Associate Professor at the Univ. Polytechnique Hauts-de- France/INSA Hauts-de-France from 2020 to 2022. He is now an Associate Professor at Xidian University, China. Anthony is actively involved in international standardization, contributing to theMoving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) activities in ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29 and to the Joint Video Experts Team (JVET) of ISO/IEC and ITU-T.
He is currently serving as Co-chair for the Adhoc Group on Animation Data Compression, Coordinator/Task leader for the Exploration Experiments (EE) in MPEG-I Part 39 Avatar Representation Format, and Coordinator/Task leader for the JEE-6.8 on Gaussian Splat Coding Common Test Conditions and evaluation. His research directions mainly focus on the field of multimedia communication, including but not limited to 3D media compression (avatars), Generative Face Video Coding (GFVC), 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) and reliable video delivery. He is the main speaker of several tutorials (e.g., “Generative Face Video Coding” and “Avatars Standardization Efforts”) presented at IEEE ICME, ICECS, EUSIPCO and VCIP. Anthony serves as an Associate Editor of the EURASIP Signal Processing: Image Communication and Springer Journal on Image and Video Processing. Anthony has also been elected as a member of theMultimedia Systems and Applications Technical Committee (MSA-TC) and the Visual Signal Processing and Communications Technical Committee (VSPC-TC) of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) as well as elected as a member of theMultimedia Signal Processing Technical Committee (MMSP-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS).
