Dr. Edith Osorio-de-la-Rosa received her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Semiconductor Devices from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), Mexico, in 2005, 2008, and 2012, respectively. She completed international research stays in Argentina and Spain, focusing on porous silicon-based devices, optoelectronic modeling, and renewable energy applications. She is currently an Investigadora por México with the Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación, assigned to the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Quintana Roo, where she leads projects on energy harvesting, renewable energy systems, and power management circuits for IoT applications. Furthermore, she is deeply committed to gender equity in science and technology and has actively participated in mentorship initiatives for girls and young women pursuing STEM careers, with the goal of reducing structural gaps and fostering a more inclusive and diverse scientific community.  Dr. Osorio-de-la-Rosa is a member of the IEEE and has served as Associate Editor for Advances in Mechanical Engineering and Journal of Energy, as well as Guest Editor of special issues in MDPI journals. Her research interests include bioenergy systems, photovoltaic and fuel cell technologies, and sustainable electronics.
