Guangtao Zhai is a distinguished professor of Electronics Engineering Department, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has been working in the field of signal processing for over 20 years. He has published over 500 research papers and was recoginized as Clarivate Highly Cited researcher. He and his students has won many best paper awards and competition awards, including the best student paper awards in Picture Coding Symposium and IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo, the IEEE Multimedia Prize Paper Award, the best paper award of IEEE Broadcasting Technology Society and etc. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Displays (Elsevier) and as Chairman of the Shanghai Image and Graphics Association. He is a Fellow of IEEE.
