Li Yang currently starts a position as professor in the school of Microelectronics at South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou, China. His main research works focus on the development of the RF/microwave filtering circuits/devices using different technologies (i.e., microstrip, groove-gap waveguide, on-chip CMOS and GaAs). Until now, he has authored or co-authored 66 papers in international journals (56 of them in IEEE) and 50 papers in international conferences/symposia. He was awarded with the GOT ENERGY TALENT (GET)-COFUND Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship in 2020 , respectively. He was one recipient of the Second Prize of Macau Natural Science Award. Moreover, he was awarded Juan de la Cierva Formación 2018 in 2020 and the Ramón y Cajal (RYC) 2024 in 2025 that were funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, respectively. Right now, he works as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs since Nov. 2023.
