Luis Hernandez-Corporales received a MS (‘89) and PhD (’95) degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from Polytechnic University of Madrid. He did a postdoctoral stay at the ECE dept. of Oregon State University in 1996 and Analog Devices in Willmington, USA in 1997. In 1998 he joined University Carlos III of Madrid where he is currently Full Professor in the Electronic Technology Department and leads the mixed signal research group. He has been department head and PhD program director. In 2009 he did a sabbatical stay at IMEC, Leuven, Belgium. He has coauthored three books, over 170 papers and holds 25 patents. He is a member of the IEEE-CAS ASPTC committee and has been associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and systems I and II for 9 years. His topics of interest are analog microelectronics, Sigma-Delta modulation, time-encoded data converters and neural networks.
