Márcio J. Lacerda is a Reader in Control Engineering and Cyber–Physical Systems at London Metropolitan University. He previously held a faculty position at the Federal University of São João del-Rei, Brazil (2016–2023), and postdoctoral appointments at UNICAMP and the University of Minnesota. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP in 2014. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of both the Control Systems Society(CSS) and the Circuits and Systems Society. He serves as a Senior Editor for the IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems, and on the Conference Editorial Board and the Technology Conference Editorial Board of the IEEE CSS. He has previously served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems and IEEE Latin America Transactions. He also served as a Guest Editor for the Journal of the Franklin Institute, Special Issue on “High Fidelity LPV systems under constraints”. His research interests include constrained control over communications, cyber–physical systems, and linear circuits and systems.
