The LASCAS 2025 WiCAS event was held on February 27, 2025. The event was organized by Barbara de Souza, an Application Engineer at Cadence, and Fernanda Lima Kastensmidt, a Professor at the Federal
University of Rio Grande do Sul. The WiCAS event included panelist presentations, a panel discussion, and concluded with a cocktail party as social activity.

The panel presentations and follow up discussions revolved around learning about panelists career trajectories, meaningful advice to recognize unconscious bias, the importance of mentoring, networking, and career ownership. It concluded with a discussion on diversity and inclusion and its alignment with meritocracy, where diversity and inclusion serve as strategic advantages for fostering innovation and achieving business success.
