In 2025, the IEEE CASS Seasonal School & Hackathon (SSCAS) Bolivia marked a historic milestone for South America: a high-impact initiative that combined intensive technical training with a hands-on hackathon component, positioning Bolivia as a regional hub for capacity building in Circuits and Systems applications. This was not “just another event”; it was a strategic commitment to talent, innovation, and knowledge transfer, with a clear focus on outcomes, collaboration, and international projection.
The SSCAS featured strong participation from students and IEEE CASS members coming from Tarija, Cochabamba, La Paz, El Alto, Santa Cruz,
Potosí, and Llallagua, forming a truly multidisciplinary and nationwide network. To maximize collaboration and execution, participants were organized into 27 teams of four members each, enabling structured problem-solving, clear role distribution, and fast iteration. This geographic and institutional diversity strengthened teamwork, peer learning, and community building, raising the overall technical level and creating a solid pipeline of young talent ready to deliver technology projects with real, measurable impact in Bolivia.
