IEEE CAS Third Seasonal School on AgriFood Technologies

The third IEEE CAS Seasonal School on AgriFood Technologies will be held on 26-27 September 2022 in Turin, Italy at Politecnico di Torino as well in a hybrid format. Agribusiness issues will be presented that are associated with the sustainability of agriculture from an agronomy’s point of view and from the circuits and systems perspective.
Through this approach, the school aims to motivate researchers, students, and the technology industry to successfully address the growing world-feeding challenge by finding the right economical solutions. The school will not only provide knowledge but also will present AgriFood challenges to the audience.
The IEEE CAS Seasonal Schools on AgriFood Electronics, which is repeated on a yearly basis, are meant to become the meeting point for professionals working on Precision and Smart Agriculture, IoT, Sensors, Electronic Circuits, Electronic Systems, Integrated Circuits, and many more. Electronics applied to the following topics will be addressed: Vegetable, Meat, and Diary industry, Sensors for Agriculture, Soil Analysis, Growth and Health Monitoring, Food Waste Process and Reutilization, and IoT Applied to Agribusiness.

School Attendees
An international team of university professors, industry representatives, and end-users will share their experiences and show projects where electronics are applied to AgriFood, analyzing solutions for precision agriculture, particularly targeting sustainability.
Agronomist Point of View
Experts in agronomy, soil and resource usage, phytopathologists, and end-users will give lectures explaining the link between precision agriculture and ICT technologies, giving not only the needed background but also their views and expectations from the technical solutions.
School Format
Due to circumstances related to the pandemic, the seasonal school will be held in a hybrid format making it possible to participate in the seasonal school remotely although we hope to have you join us in Torino!
School Venue
