Prof. Weisheng Zhao Re-Elected as the Editor in Chief of IEEE TCAS-I from Jan. 2022 to Dec. 2023

In September 2021, Prof. Weisheng Zhao with Beihang University was re-elected as the Editor in Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers (TCAS-I) for a new term of 2 years from January 2022 to December 2023. IEEE TCAS-I is the flagship journal of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, covering areas related to integrated circuits and systems. Its IF (impact factor) in 2020 is 3.61. The editorial board brings together 61 outstanding researchers and experts in the field of integrated circuits and systems from 20 countries and 59 institutions worldwide. Among them are 6 members from the industry, 6 female professionals and 7 IEEE fellows.

Prof. Zhao is currently the Dean of the School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing, China; a standing member of the 10th Committee of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology; Director of the Key Laboratory of Spintronics, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and Changjiang Scholars. Prof. Zhao received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Paris-Sud, Orsay, France, in 2007. He was nominated as a tenured Research Scientist at CNRS, France, in 2009 and served as a adjunct professor at the University of Paris-Sud. In 2013, he joined Beihang University, Beijing, China. In the past five years, he has published more than 200 articles in prestigious journals, including Proceedings of the IEEE and Nature Electronics, among which 7 are ESI highly cited papers. According to Google Scholar, his work has been cited >12,000 times, with an H-index of 60. Prof. Zhao has given more than 70 invited talks at international conferences. He has served as a member of the jury of the Outstanding Research Scholars Program (ERC) since 2018, General Chair of IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Nanoscale Architectures (2016), and ACM Great Lakes Symposium on VLSI (2018-2020). Prof. Zhao is a Fellow of IEEE with numerous awards, including "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" by Elsevier in 2020.
