Jiande Sun is a full Professor with the School of Information Science and Engineering of Shandong Normal University, where he is the head of Multimedia System (MMSys) Lab. He received the B.E. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in communication and information system from Shandong University in 1999 and 2005 respectively.

He was awarded the distinguished doctoral dissertation of Shandong University, the best paper award by the IWVDVT 2005, 2022 IEEE MSA-TC Best Paper Award – Honorable Mention, ICME2018 outstanding reviewer awards, and so on. He served for IEEE ICME, ISCAS, WIFS, ICIP, ACM IH&MMSec, DMIP, ICSINC as program chair, publicity chair, area chair, session chair, etc. He serves as a regular reviewer for IEEE TMM, TCSVT, IEEE ISCAS, ICME, ICASSP, ICIP, and so on. 
His research interests include multimedia signal processing, multimedia forensics, watermarking, and their applications in intelligent transportation, social media, healthcare, sports and so on.
