Yipeng Liu is a full professor at the School of Information and Communication Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), in Chengdu, China. He received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from UESTC in 2006 and 2011, respectively. He has also worked and conducted research at KU Leuven and Huawei Technologies. His current research interests focus on tensor computations for signal processing, machine learning, and biomedical engineering.

Dr. Liu has published over 100 papers and co-authored two books: Tensor Computation for Data Analysis (Springer) and Tensor Regression (Foundations and Trends in Machine Learning, NOW Publishers). Additionally, he edited the book Tensors for Data Processing (Elsevier). He has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters and as the lead guest editor for Signal Processing: Image Communication. He has also delivered tutorials at several prestigious international conferences, including ISCAS 2024, IJCAI 2022, ICME 2022, and ICIP 2020. Dr. Liu was named an APSIPA Distinguished Lecturer for 2022-2023.
