(Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and Lic. Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (ITCR), Cartago, Costa Rica, in 1999 and 2004, respectively; the M.Sc. Degree in Microelectronics and Microsystems, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the Technische Universität Hamburg (TUHH), Hamburg, Germany, in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
From 2006 to 2012, he was with the Institute of Electromagnetic Theory, TUHH; from 2012 to 2014, with the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, USA; and from 2021 to 2024, with Intel Corporation as a Sr. Analog Engineer in Belén, Costa Rica. Since 2014, he is with the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, currently as a full Professor with the Department of Electronics Engineering, and since 2024, with the Rydev ASIC Design House as a Senior Manager, in San José, Costa Rica.
His current research interests include the system-level modeling and optimization of interconnects, the analysis of signal and power integrity, high-speed integrated circuit design, and the high-frequency characterization and test of electronic systems.
