2026 Student Branch Chapter (SBC) Activity Support: Round 1
The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for the CASS Outreach Initiative: Student Branch Chapter Activity Support 2026 — Round One.
This initiative provides IEEE CASS Student Branch Chapters with an opportunity to apply for funding support for impactful activities that strengthen engagement within the Circuits and Systems community. The program is intended to encourage innovative, high-impact initiatives that support student members, increase the value of CASS membership, and foster greater student participation in CASS-related activities and research areas.
Potential activities may include technical events, professional development programs, outreach initiatives, workshops, networking opportunities, or other activities that benefit student members and promote engagement with the Society.
All funded initiatives must be completed by 31 December 2026. Any awarded funding may not be transferred to the following year.
Guidelines

When submitting a proposal, the Student Branch Chapter must be endorsed by a CASS Chapter in order to receive funding.

Please identify a nearby CASS Chapter to partner with for the initiative. An endorsement letter from the supporting Chapter Chair must be included as part of the proposal submission.

A project budget is required for submission. Applicants should include all anticipated expenditures in the budget file. A budget template is available here for applicants to use during preparation of the proposal.
Funding Limitations

The maximum number of projects associated with each Student Branch Chapter is one (1)

The maximum funding available for each project is USD $1,000
-
The maximum total funding per parent CASS Chapter is USD $2,000

IEEE CASS encourages Student Branch Chapters worldwide to submit creative and impactful proposals that support student engagement and contribute to the growth of the global Circuits and Systems community.
