IEEE Circuit and Systems Society is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024. An edited and revised version of the book ‘A Short History of Circuits and Systems’ will be published on this occasion. This first edition, edited by Professor Franco Maloberti and Professor Anthony C. Davies, gives a brief history of milestones achieved in the field of circuits and systems.

We are seeking submissions for chapters that will be included in the second edition of this eBook.

In conjunction with the society’s 75th anniversary, the second edition will focus on significant developments within the circuits and systems (CAS) domain during the past 25 years. The scope encompasses a wide range of topics within CAS, spanning retrospectives, evolution, major milestones, and societal impact. This will help us better understand the historical trajectory, transformative developments of the CAS society, and overarching significance of CAS in shaping technological landscapes and societal advancements.

An extended version of the book chapter is required, and a full book chapter will be invited based on the review.

Submission Process:
The extended version of the book chapter should be submitted to the guest editors, Fakhrul Zaman Rokhani ([email protected]) and Hanho Lee ([email protected]), by email with the subject: [CASS Short History ebook update] <add your chapter title here>.

The extended version of the book chapter format is up to 10 pages (single-column), including the proposed chapter title, motivation and significance of the topic, an outline of the proposed book chapter, and representative references. An author list with contact information and short bios should also be included. Submitted articles must be accessible to a broad audience and have significant relevance to the scope of the second edition. Submissions should be original and not published or under review elsewhere.
