IEEE CASS Chapter Website and Social Media Competition

Dear IEEE CASS Chapters, We are excited to announce the launch of the inaugural IEEE CASS Chapter Website and Social Media Competition! The competition's purpose is to promote stronger online visibility, professionalism, and community engagement among all active IEEE CASS chapters worldwide. We encourage you to showcase your creativity in digital outreach while adhering to essential IEEE branding and communication standards. 

Competition Categories and Evaluation 

Chapters will compete in two categories: 

  • Best Chapter Website (focusing on design, relevance, accuracy, and activity)
  • Best Social Media Presence (focusing on engagement, consistency, and community impact).
  • Submissions will be judged based on five key criteria:
  • Content Quality (25% weight): Relevance, originality, clarity, and educational value.
  • Engagement (25% weight): Frequency of updates, interaction with followers, and use of multimedia.
  • Branding Compliance (20% weight): Use of official IEEE CASS branding, layout, and consistency.
  • Community Impact (15% weight): Member involvement, collaboration, and event promotion.
  • Innovation (15% weight): Unique approaches to presenting content and reaching audiences. 

Key Dates and Support 

Please mark your calendars for these important dates: Program Launch & Submissions Open: 22 October 2025. 

Submissions Close: 2 December 2025 at 12:00 AM ET 

Winners Announcement: 5 December 2025 

To participate, your chapter must be an active IEEE CASS chapter with an official IEEE-registered email alias, and you must designate at least one Digital Communication Officer (DCO). Submissions require your Website URL, links to all social media pages (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), and a short summary outlining your goals and achievements. 

Recognition and Resources Winning chapters will receive formal Certificates of Excellence from IEEE CASS, be featured on IEEE CASS global communication channels, and gain access to mentorship opportunities. We are committed to supporting your efforts.

  • Is funding available for this competition? No, not at this time.
  • Is this competition open to Student Branch Chapters? Unfortunately, this year is only open to Chapters but we hope to welcome SBCs in future competitions.
