As we enter the year 2024, the IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems will change its editorial board. The full editorial committee is published in the website, including the three chief position and the senior editorial board that gathers worldwide experts in circuits and systems, who shape the future of the journal by helping decide the special issues that are accepted. The three main chief positions will be as follows:

  • Editor-in-Chief (EiC): Wen-Hsiao Peng (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan)
  • Associate Editor-in-Chief (AEiC): Shimeng Yu (Georgia Institute of Technology, USA)
  • Digital Communications Associate Editor-in-Chief (DC AEiC): Sergi Abadal (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain)

The EiC, Prof. Peng, states "JETCAS is one of the leading journals in the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, with an impact factor of 4.6-5.8 in the period of 2022 to 2023. I shall reinforce JETCAS’ position as a leading journal in addressing emerging topics at the forefront of research in circuits and systems. My strategic imperatives include improving the quality, agility and visibility of JETCAS, and encourage interdisciplinary cooperation. I shall work with the editorial team to (1) identify interdisciplinary emerging topics, (2) involve JETCAS Senior Editorial Board in inviting special issue proposals, (3) expose JETCAS publications to a wider audience, and (4) mentor GE teams early. I welcome all to join forces in this endeavor by submitting good special issue proposals and high-quality papers to JETCAS."

The AEiC, Prof. Yu, says that "I am determined to work closely with the JETCAS editorial board and guest editor teams to maintain the selectivity of JETCAS review process and ensure high-quality submissions to be accepted in a timely manner."

The DC AEiC, Dr. Abadal, announces that "I will try my best to publicize the calls, send timely reminders, and promote the special issues that get published. We'll shine the spotlight on the best papers of each issue, highlight #openaccess publications, and also tell you more about the people that works on the journal in general and in each issue in particular (#meettheeditors!).

We truly appreciate the efforts made by the previous editorial board and the smooth transition they facilitated, and we look forward to working towards a sustainable and true growth of the journal in terms of quality and impact.

Best regards,
The JETCAS Editorial Team
