Abstract

The fusion of digital twin technology with precision agriculture represents a
breakthrough in farm management and optimization. This talk presents an innovative
platform that combines drone-based photogrammetry, IoT sensor networks, and
advanced simulation techniques to create highly accurate digital representations of
agricultural assets. By leveraging high-resolution aerial imagery and sophisticated
photogrammetric processing, the system generates detailed 3D models of farming
environments, which are then enriched with real-time data from field-deployed IoT
sensors. Participants will explore how this integrated approach enables growers to
optimize crop density, monitor plant health, and analyze productivity patterns. A special
focus will be placed on the platform's capability to simulate and assess agrivoltaics
systems, allowing farmers to evaluate the impact of solar panel installations on
underlying crop performance. The presentation demonstrates how circuit and system
design challenges are addressed in creating a comprehensive digital twin solution that
bridges the gap between physical farming operations and their virtual counterparts,
ultimately driving data-driven decision-making in modern agriculture.
