Dr. Junrui Liang is a tenured Associate Professor in the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University, Shanghai, China. He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in Instrumentation Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China, in 2010. Dr. Liang’s research interests include energy conversion and power conditioning circuits, battery-free ambient IoT, kinetic energy harvesting and vibration suppression, and mechatronics. Dr. Liang has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs and IET Circuits, Devices & Systems. He was the General Chair of the 2nd International Conference on Vibration and Energy Harvesting Applications (VEH 2019) and the Track Chair for the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) in 2023 and 2024. Dr. Liang is currently the Chair of the Energy Harvesting Technical Committee (EHTC) in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures, and Intelligent Systems (SMASIS) Division, and serves as the Secretary of the Power and Energy Circuits and Systems (PECAS) Technical Committee of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS). He has been a member of the Technical Program Committee for the SPIE Smart Structures/NDE Conference since 2016 and the International Conference on Vibration and Energy Harvesting Applications since 2018. Dr. Liang is a Fellow of the ASME and a Senior Member of the IEEE.
