Seok-Bum Ko (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, USA, in 2002. He worked as a member of technical staff at the Korea Telecom Research and Development Group, South Korea, from 1993 to 1998. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada. His research interests include computer arithmetic, computer architecture, deep learning processor architecture and its applications including agriculture, efficient hardware implementation of compute-intensive applications, and biomedical engineering. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, IEEE Access, and IET Computers and Digital Techniques. He was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems—I: Regular Papers from 2020 to 2021.
